Next-generation logistics.

Moving cargo from A to B is no longer enough. Information has to move too.

In today's logistics there is something else that has to travel with the cargo: the right information. Information that reaches the right person at the right time.

Knowing a port's coordinates is one thing; knowing its terminals, capacity, depth, connections and operating conditions is another. Getting a freight rate is one thing; being able to read the costs, risks and alternative routes behind that rate is another.

This is where my view of next-generation logistics takes shape: transport, data, information, technology and people, together.

Because the logistics companies of the future will not just be companies that manage vehicles. They will be companies that manage information.
