Accessibility statement and contact One door for everyone.
This site is built to work with a keyboard, a screen reader and the reduced-motion preference. The target is WCAG 2.2 AA. Below is what we did, where the limits are and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Target
Standard and scope
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, level AA. The statement covers all nine language versions of www.edolines.com: pages, the quote and application forms, the calculators and the tracking tools.
What we did
How the site behaves
Every item is a behaviour measured on the site, not a promise.
Everything by keyboard
The menu, the ports on the globe, the sailing line, the forms and the tools follow the Tab key in order; focus shows on every element with a visible outline. The first link, "Skip to content", jumps past the menu.
Reduced motion respected
When reduce motion is on in your operating system, the opening sequence is not shown, the page transition and the scroll-driven film are off, and the globe holds a single frame. Every moving element has a "Pause" button next to it.
Readable text
Body text carries at least 4.5:1 contrast against its background and large headings at least 3:1; the title over the globe is wrapped in an ink halo so it stays readable even on the globe's brightest face.
Structure and names
One main heading per page, landmarks (header, main content, footer), named menus and buttons, a description or a decorative mark on every image. Language and writing direction are declared on every page; Arabic pages run right to left.
Labelled fields, plain errors
Every field in the quote and application forms has a visible label; a missing or invalid entry is explained in words next to the field, not by colour alone.
Targets on small screens
The small dots on the globe have an invisible touch area of 32 pixels; before every release all pages are scanned in nine languages for touch targets and overflow.
Limits
Gaps we know about
In three places the experience depends on the device; the content is never lost.
The globe on the home page and the scene on the Ports page need WebGL2. In a browser without it the globe is not drawn; the ports, the sailing line and all the text stay as they are.
The film on the home page is silent and contains no text; all captions are the page's own text and reach a screen reader. The film plays by itself only when reduce motion is off.
There are no PDFs or other attachments on the site; every item in the knowledge base is page text.
Testing
Last check and feedback
Before every release the site passes an automated accessibility audit and a layout scan in nine languages; the keyboard tour is done by hand.
7 October 2026: Lighthouse accessibility score 100 on nine pages; on the home page the keyboard tour (skip link, menu, globe control, sailing line, quote button) and the reduced-motion preference were verified.
